Our story
It started as a group chat about good trips.
People kept asking the same questions. Which valley is worth the extra day? Is the houseboat actually warm in March? How early do you really need to leave for the pass? The answers lived with whoever had been there most recently.
So we started writing them down, then planning trips around them. PlanFree grew out of that habit in Manjeri: a community that shares what it learns, and a small planning team that turns it into itineraries you can actually book.
Today that covers five things — holiday packages, ticket booking, domestic tours, camping and staycations. A weekend camp in the Wayanad hills and a fortnight across the north get the same treatment.
We still plan the same way. If a stay has slipped, we stop recommending it. If a route is not worth the drive, we say so — even when it would be easier to sell you the longer version.
PlanFree Vacations is an initiative of Denmarkk — the team we grew out of, and still build alongside.

For Kashmir in peak season, Ladakh in summer or anywhere over a long weekend, four to six weeks gives you the best rooms at sane rates. We take last-minute trips too — the options are simply narrower.
Yes. Ticket booking stands on its own — flights, trains and buses, including reissues and date changes. Plenty of people use us for that first and come back for a trip later.
No. The journeys listed on the site are starting points. Most trips we send out are reshaped versions — an extra day here, a different base there, or something we have never packaged at all.
Stays, transfers, permits, applicable taxes and anything we have booked on your behalf, listed line by line. Flights, visas and personal spending are shown separately so you can compare like for like.
Yes, and we plan differently for it — shorter driving days, ground-floor rooms where it matters, altitude gained gradually, and buffer time built into the schedule instead of a packed one.
We keep a fallback for each leg where the risk is real, especially in the mountains. If something closes, you call us and we rearrange the day rather than leaving you at a hotel desk.
